THE SWEET SPOT
The Full Story
The Sweet Spot is the first Black - women owned and designed period tracking app. The Sweet Spot goes beyond traditional period tracking - it’s a movement for reproductive health, shared responsibility, and digital empowerment from adolescence to menopause.
Imagine you live about 2 hours from Lagos, Nigeria and you're a trans man who needs to track their cycle. Imagine you are a young woman in Chicago, learning for the first time about ovulation windows. Imagine you are a couple in Brazil, who would like to discuss family planning - and want to share cycle information with each other. With The Sweet Spot, you can securely share updates, receive notifications, and navigate this moment together. Whether in Miami, Bahia, or Japan, users of all genders can access this tool in their preferred language, ensuring inclusivity and representation.
Partners will receive notifications with consent, when your cycle is coming, updates on ovulation windows or the perfect time to be intimate after ovulation.
The Reason:
I saw a gap in the market - existing apps often fail to center the experiences of BIPOC women, trans men, non-binary folks, and male-identifying partners who also need access to this information. The Sweet Spot is my way to ensure that all people, no matter their gender identity or location, have the tools to track, plan, and care for their reproductive health in a way that feels safe, affirming, and culturally relevant.
This app was designed to make sure that female identifying folk of color and male identifying partners can assist and support during family planning, ovulation and cycle care. This app will be available for the duration of the cycle from adolescence to menopause.
We are currently in the prototype developmental phase and really excited to bring it fully launched very soon.
