Africa is the driving force in culture and global influence, however it is also left out of the conversation when it comes to period care. The Sweet Spot is the latest tech project created and designed by The LVMB Collective founder Weléla Mar Kindred alongside a strong co-founding team of Black women.
In 2024, the market of period tracking apps have shown that there is a gap between inclusive cycle care, and safe sexual wellness spaces for people of color. The Sweet Spot was created and designed by Black women to alleviate period poverty, increase communication between men & women, and to generate economic opportunities in the African space and beyond. This world-class app has partnered with global brands in music, design and architecture to create nurturing safe spaces for a booming African youth culture. We are more than a period tracker.
